Vladimir Nikora是英国阿伯丁大学工程学院环境流体力学讲席教授,英国皇家工程院院士,爱丁堡皇家学会会士。他于1984年在俄罗斯圣彼得堡国家水文研究所获得博士学位,先后在乌克兰敖德萨水文气象研究学院、新西兰国家水与大气研究所、英国阿伯丁大学等单位任职。Nikora教授长期从事流体力学、明渠湍流、水沙输移及生态水力学等方面的研究,在粗糙床面紊流的描述以及泥沙运动力学等方面取得了一系列创新成果。
Nikora教授曾担任IAHR Journal of Hydraulic Research期刊主编,AGU Water Resources Research、ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering等期刊副主编,IAHR流体力学技术委员会主席等学术职务,现为IAHR全球水安全委员会委员、IAHR Journal of Ecohydraulics期刊咨询编辑。Nikora教授曾多次受邀在 IAHR、ISRS 等国际重要会议上做特邀报告,在《Journal of Fluid Mechanics》、《Water Resources Research》、《Journal of Phycology》等国际高水平期刊上发表论文190多篇,被引次数约1.4万次,H指数59。Nikora教授凭借其研究成果和学术影响力,获得了水利工程领域的三大国际学术奖项,包括 Hunter Rouse 水利工程奖(2010,EWRI)、Hans Albert Einstein 奖(2017,ASCE)以及M. Selim Yalin 终生成就奖(2019,IAHR)。
Brief Introduction of Professor Nikora
Prof. Vladimir Nikora is the Sixth Century Chair of Environmental Fluid Mechanics in School of Engineering at University of Aberdeen, a Fellow of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He received his PhD degree from the State Hydrological Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1984, and held the positions at the Odessa Hydrometeorological Institute in Ukraine, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research in New Zealand, and the University of Aberdeen in UK. Prof. Nikora has long been engaged in fluid mechanics, turbulent structure, sediment transport mechanisms and eco-hydraulics, and has achieved a series of innovative achievements especially in the description and prediction of turbulence over rough beds and sediment transport.
Prof. Nikora has served as the Editor-in-Chief of IAHR Journal of Hydraulic Research, the Associate Editors of AGU Water Resources Research and ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, and the Chair of the IAHR Technical Committee on Fluid Mechanics. He is currently a member of the IAHR Global Water Security Committee and Consulting Editor of the IAHR Journal of Eco-hydraulics. Prof. Nikora has been invited to give special presentations at important international conferences such as IAHR and ISRS for many times. He has published more than 190 papers in international high-level journals such as Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Water Resources Research, Journal of Phycology, etc., with a citation number of 14K and the H-index of 59. With his research achievements and academic influence, Prof. Nikora has received three international academic awards in the field of hydraulic engineering, including the Hunter Rouse Hydraulic Engineering Award (2010, EWRI), Hans Albert Einstein Award (2017, ASCE) and M. Selim Yalin Lifetime Achievement Award (2019, IAHR).
